Five experienced musicians from the Zaanstreek came together for an afternoon jam session in 2014 — and never stopped. Lucifer's Playlist plays groove-heavy blues-rock from a time when rock music wasn't divided into a hundred subgenres. Funk, soul, blues, and hard rock collide in songs built on feel and collective chemistry rather than polish.
The debut EP was recorded in a single day after only two rehearsals. The Tall Sessions is a set of covers — Neil Young, Herman Brood, The Box Tops — and Mirror of my Soul pushed the boundaries further, featuring "The Suite," a 22-minute prog rock epic of smoothly interwoven songs, and "Big Space Boogie," a heavy rock boogie with Jon Lord-invoking keyboard work, and the funky "Put the Heat On."
